KISU’S INT’L DAY,WHERE YA CULTURE AT? A Colourful Celebration Of Food And Dance.

International Day is always eagerly anticipated at Kampala International School of Uganda and after much effort preparing performances and food from around the world, students revel in the opportunity to celebrate their cultural identities. With so many photos capturing the colour and spirit of the occasion, it was difficult to choose which ones to use here, but the following hopefully do justice to the talents and enthusiasm of the participating nationalities.

The school’s soccer pitch provided the venue and it was packed needless to say! The event involves students, parents, staff and the wider community coming together to share food and performances from many of the ethnic groups from around the world which make up the KISU community. It was a show-off display of traditional wear and dishes from different countries like Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Japan, Korea and a host of many others.

The event started at 9AM and as the invites clearly indicated, it ended at 12PM sharp. Nevertheless, the occasion was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. As always, less yap, more pics…
