VICTORIA’S OPEN DAY..HAVE YOU EVER ATTENDED ONE..YUH SHUD.
A few high schools got a chance to attend Victoria University’s Open Day on campus along Kampala Road to see for themselves and to also learn about their career choices and what the potential courses just might be ideal. An Open Day is more like your regular high school brochure or prospectus except that this has an interpersonal vibe compared to just reading the brochure on paper.
Here, students got to interact with lecturers, students and career counselors about their individual career dreams and what degrees would suit the aspiring students better. Shules such as Lubiri Secondary School, Kololo and East High among others were down for the gig and attended the Open Day in numbers. The students also enjoyed the company
of Urban TV’s MC Casmir, who frequently interviewed them about the day’s vibes. “Dude, it’s interview time, do you wanna miss?” one of the students was heard wrestling through the crowd.
Of course they couldn’t miss the lifetime experience. Clad in their respective school uniforms; the students spoke to subject tutors, met current students and saw other thrilling facilities on campus such as state-of-the-art lecture rooms each equipped with a projector and dust-free boards as well as fancy and comfy student seats. They were taken through the campus bufundas where they can catch a chill and quick snacks or even lunch just around campus. As always, at SWaGG, we let the yap walk and the pictures talk!
